Virgin Guadalupe day 2008 { 40 images } Created 27 Dec 2008

The image of Virgin Guadalupe is one of the most important icons in the mexican culture. Every year, weeks before Decembrer 12th millions of pilgrims began to walk from the most remotes towns and cities of the country to arrive on the 12th to the capital, Mexico City, were is located the Basilica de Guadalupe. All of them offer that sacrifice for a common reason, thanking the virgin for something special. This year arrived more than 5 million pilgrims in the lapse of one week.
